Brush Turkey

The Brush Turkey (Alectura lathami) is a common, large bird found throughout eastern Australia. Brush Turkeys build a large mound of leaves from leaf litter on the forest floor to form a nest and use the heat generated by the composting material to incubate the eggs buried inside the mound.
