Cute stuff
Okay, time out for a bit of fun. These critters sure look cute when they're little. In a feeble attempt to make this page informative I'll also include pics to show what they grow into.

 

This family of Pacific Black ducks (left) was one of many appearing after good rainfall

I don't normally concentrate on this kind of stuff. After all, my camera's usually pointing at things like an ogre-faced spider. But there's no denying the appeal of these critters. I'll add more examples when I get the chance.

Dusky Moorhen chicks resemble chirping black tennis balls.These little guys are very timid and either hide among the floating plants and stick nice and close to a parent
